Martin Fryer is a local self employed painter & decorator with over 30 years experience based in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire.
He has experience in large properties, office renovation and interior / exterior house painting and home decorating in Hertfordshire and North London and is a wall paper hanging expert. 

Unlike a big firm, Martin relies on recommendations and reputation, so you can can be assured of a professional, reliable and honest tradesman. 

As a one-man business, you’ll deal directly with Martin — from your first chat and quote to the final brushstroke. It’s this personal touch and attention to detail that have kept his customers coming back for decades.

As well as smaller jobs like wallpaper hanging, painting of window frames, room and home re-decororating, previous high profile jobs have included Kensington Palace, Brockett Hall and the royal residences at Windsor.

About Us


Following in his father's footsteps, Martin Fryer has always worked in the trade perfecting his knowledge and skills in painting and decorating.

Originally from Finchley, Martin now lives with his wife Claire and their family in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire.

He loves what he does – listening to what people want, helping them choose colours and finishes, and leaving every home with a high-quality result and a friendly, trusting relationship along the way.

Now, Martin will be the first to admit he’s handier with a brush than a keyboard, so his sister-in-law runs his website and his wife Claire usually types up your estimate.
If he doesn’t pick up his mobile, he’s probably up a ladder (or watching Spurs) – so just leave him a message and he’ll get back to you.

A keen footballer in his younger days, Martin now spends more time cheering from the stands than kicking the ball. When he’s not painting homes or hanging wallpaper, you’ll find him enjoying family life in Potters Bar.
